Editorial Design - Harbor Lights Literary
This editorial spread is a personal project that brings together two things I love: storytelling and photography. For this piece, I set out to explore Baltimore’s local literary scene, from cozy bookstores to inspiring writing groups, and share why they’re worth checking out.
One of the main features is the Ivy Bookshop, a charming indie bookstore that’s become a staple in the city. It’s not just a place to buy books. It’s where people gather for author talks, readings, and community events. I wanted to capture the vibe of the space through both words and photos, showing what makes it such a special spot for readers and writers alike.
Alongside that, I highlight a few local writing groups that welcome anyone with a passion for words. These groups are all about creativity, encouragement, and connection. Whether you're looking to share your work or just meet other creative minds, there’s something here for everyone.
This spread is a mix of journalism and visual storytelling. It’s a way for me to showcase my skills while also highlighting the people and places that make Baltimore’s literary scene so unique. It’s a love letter to books, creativity, and community.
Editorial Design- Little Hands, Big Flavors Cookbook
A family-friendly cookbook for adults who want to cook with and for their kids
Little Hands, Big Flavors is a cookbook I created for families who want to bring kids into the kitchen in a fun and approachable way, without sacrificing flavor or practicality. The recipes are designed with children in mind, but the overall look and feel of the book are meant for an adult audience. It’s clean, modern, and easy to navigate.
The cookbook includes a range of simple, balanced recipes that invite kids to participate at whatever level they’re comfortable.
While I did not take the photos in this project, I worked closely with visual elements to make sure the layout and design supported the tone and message of the book. The imagery was selected to feel warm, real, and family-focused, aligning with the accessible and encouraging voice throughout the recipes.
This project highlights my skills in food writing and recipe development. It’s designed to support busy families looking for meaningful ways to cook together and enjoy good food with a sense of ease and creativity.
I also worked closely with a friend of mine who is a chef (Jacob) to pick out some of the recipes.
Summer Full Book
Editorial Design & Printing: Book Design
For this project, the goal was to create a modern-day interpretation of the classic novel Summer. I aimed to blend the timeless themes of the story with contemporary design elements, making the book feel both nostalgic and fresh. From layout to typography and color choices, every design decision was made to reflect the essence of the story while appealing to today’s reader. The project involved not only the visual aspects of the book but also the printing process, ensuring that the final product was as engaging in physical form as it is conceptually.

Ultimately I challenged myself by handrawing the cover and all the floral patterns to give it a more intimate look.
